The Super Mario Mash-up Pack was released on May 17, 2016 as part of a free update. It was released exclusively on the Wii U and Nintendo Switch, and was currently bundled with the Wii U retail version of the game. Custom Legacy Console Edition mash-up packs
Whilst custom mash-up packs / resource packs cannot be used under normal circumstances, they can be edited and used via hacking. Whilst custom mash-up / resource packs are client-sided, you still do risk a ban from Xbox Live due to console modification. Playstation network has a risk if console modification has been used to use them and Nintendo Network is completely fine. These cannot be done on the Xbox one, PS4 and Nintendo Switch as methods for these platforms have not been made yet.
